Now Hiring - Counter Sales Associate in San Bernardino, CA

About our Company:

Since 1960 we have offered a wide variety of building materials. In our 5 locations, you will find brick, block, tile, sand, gravel, cement, steel, stone, firewood, BBQs, tools, pre-cast products, protective coating systems and ready mix concrete. We have an inside retail space with a tile and BBQ showroom and a five-acre, super active yard filled with hardscape building materials.

What we are looking for:

Friendly Sales Associate, with great customer service skills, some knowledge in building materials, and sales experience that can service walk-in customers, telephone customers, contractors, and office contacts. Bilingual a plus. Computer skills (excel, word doc, outlook) a plus.

Duties will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

• Be capable of helping customers with materials needed for specific jobs
• Be familiar with the variety of materials sold. Have knowledge of BBQ equipment, sealers, hand tools, masonry saws, diamond blades and the complete line of hardware items that are offered for sale.
• Follow procedures with customers checks, charge sales, and cash
• Take orders for deliveries complete with all information required on order pad, including any special instructions, to insure proper delivery.
• Work closely with dispatcher and customers for those items requiring special order.
• Be sure that materials ordered for delivery is in stock or make sure dispatcher is aware that they will be needed at the time of delivery.
• Make sure store manager is aware of items that do not sell. Keep counter area and sales area in good, clean condition.
• Be knowledgeable of delivery capabilities, pallet quantities and weight, etc.
• Assist with inventory when function is being conducted.
